Business Development Director Opportunity


August 17, 2009 – Marketing Operations Partners, Inc., the most recognized brand in bringing an end-to-end strategic framework, operational discipline and accountability to the Marketing function, is seeking a partner to lead our new business development efforts.

The ideal person has a strong B2B business development background, an intimate understanding of how to engage with CMOs and marketing leaders, and a skin-in-the-game mentality consistent with a performance-based compensation model.

This is a serious opportunity with a company that is at a tipping point in its development:

  • In business since 2006 and a pioneer in the Marketing Operations consulting space
  • Client relationships with industry leaders such as Anritsu, Applied Materials, Cast Iron Systems, Cisco Webex and NetApp
  • Dozens of established prospect relationships with large and midsize B2B companies (especially in the SF Bay Area) and in-depth insight into their challenges
  • A central role in the evolution of the field through the founding of the 300+ member Marketing Operations Future Forum and offering of the first available online Marketing Operations class (through UCSC Extension)
  • A variety of available e-commerce products to reinforce our suite of management consulting services, including the "Journey to Marketing Operations Maturity" Benchmarking Study, and e-books on sales and marketing alignment, marketing metrics and customer experience management

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree from Top Tier School, MBA preferred
  • At least 5 years of sales/bus dev experience within an ad agency, PR firm, marketing consulting firm or equivalent
  • Very connected on LinkedIn and other social media platforms
  • Based in Silicon Valley
